The Odiel Marshes in springtime

As winter bids farewell and the days lengthen, the Odiel Marshes are transformed into a natural spectacle that will take your breath away. This magnificent natural area, located at the mouth of the rivers Tinto and Odiel, is one of the most important wetlands on the Iberian Peninsula. siteIt is no coincidence that UNESCO declared it a Biosphere Reserve in 1983, in recognition of its incalculable ecological value.

Spring unleashes all the magic of this unique ecosystem. Between March and June, the marshes experience an explosion of life: the colours intensify, migratory birds fill the sky and the temperature becomes perfect for exploring its corners without the oppressive heat of the Andalusian summer.

It is precisely in these months when you will be able to contemplate the most impressive spectacle: thousands of birds that use the marshes as a resting point on their migratory routes or that arrive to breed, turning the site into an authentic natural nursery.
