Cala Murta
Cala Murta is one of the prettiest small beaches in North Majorca. It’s a stones beach that’s 85m large. To get to it, you need to walk around 30 mins. In this excursion you’ll be able to enjoy nature and animals that you’ll find on the way. Besides, it’s a great excursion for the cycling lovers, since this route is perfect for those who’d like to go cycling.
Since it’s an easy excursion, you can go with kids and the whole family. It’s important not to carry many things, only the essential. You must have in mind that everything we carry to the beach, has to come back, and the walk is 30 mins so you better have light baggage!
An addition: during the car ride you can stop in Mirador d’Es Colomer in Formentor to check on the gorgeous views that Majorca has to offer.
Cala Sant Vicenç
Cala Sant Vicenç, that belongs to Pollença, is made by 4 different coves: Cala Barques, Cala Clara, Cala Molins and Cala Carbó. These coves have crystal clear waters and are perfect to do some snorkel and diving. Besides, one inside the water, you’ll be able to discover many sunken ships, since Greek old ships to ships from the XX century.
It’s also important to mention that Cala Sant Vicenç is a very frequented zone by hikers and cyclists. We can also find the Coves de l’Azineret (Alzineret Caves), a coves made around 1600 b.c Century. You can’t miss them!
Cala Tuent
Another one of the coves in North Majorca is Cala Tuent. Cala Tuent is 100m long and it’s made by gravel and stones. It’s a very calm cove since the tourists go more to Sa Calobra (link) located in really close to Cala Tuent. By being not so much crowded, this cove is perfect for those who’d like to enjoy some swimming, sunbathing and relax.
We shall also say that, to get to Cala Tuent you must drive through narrow roads so, it’s important that, if you get sick, drive carefully and get cautions. We totally promise you that, if you go, you’ll enjoy the views and the landscape.
Cala Castell
Cala Castell is a small beach in North Majorca made of sand and stones. This cove is peculiar cause, to get to it, you must ask for permission at Pollença’s tourism office since it’s a private property. The path is 11km ling and you can do it walking (3:30h) or by car (20 mins) through the private finca.
Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful excursion to do because in it you’ll find small cascades and a lot of vegetation. A nice option to enjoy the environment in Majorca!
Also, in this zone you can check on the Castell del Rei (King’s Castle), an ancient rock castle from the XIII century catalogued as Property of Cultural Interest and Spanish Historic Heritage.
Cala Bañalbufar
It’s one of the prettiest small beaches in North Majorca that has a lot of charm. It’s a rocks and sand cove that’s 100m long. Also, It’s easy to access since there’re some steps that’ll guide you to the cove. Besides, it has a free parking, so it’s better to go there before it gets crowded. This wonder cove gives peace and calmness, ideal to get some rest. It also has a natural sweet water cascade which is perfect to shower yourself a bit once you’re out of the sea. Besides from all of this, there’s an incredible landscape.
