Café del Mar
You’ve probably already heard of this exclusive spot in San Antonio. Café del Mar is not just a place to watch the sunset, it’s almost an Ibiza institution. Since 1980, this bar has attracted people from all over the world looking for a complete sensory experience: chill-out music, a relaxed atmosphere and, of course, an amazing sunset.
Arrive early, order a drink and settle in for one of the most spectacular sunsets on the island, while music accompanies the end of the day.
The atmosphere is very special, ideal for those travelling alone, as a couple or with friends. And it’s not unusual to see a cheer or two when the sun finally disappears over the horizon.
Cala Tarida
In the heart of Ibiza lies a cove that, at first glance, seems ordinary, but has a special charm. Its white sandy beach, accompanied by turquoise waters, offers a young and peaceful atmosphere ideal for unwinding. The easy access, together with a free car park nearby, makes it easy to visit this paradisiacal place.
There is also an affordable beach bar that complements the experience. However, the most fascinating part is when you cross some rocks to the left, where an oasis of peace is revealed with fishermen’s houses and a quiet entrance to the sea, perfect for snorkelling.
Es Vedrà
Es Vedrà is another of Ibiza’s most famous places to watch the sunset. This huge rock that emerges from the sea off the coast has a special magnetism.
Ideally, you should go to the Torre des Savinar, also known as the “Pirate’s Tower”, an elevated spot from where you will have a perfect view of the islet.
To get there you can leave your car in a dirt car park and simply walk for 15 minutes. In high season the car park fills up quickly so we recommend arriving early. Take a picnic or something to drink, sit down and get ready for a visual spectacle.
Golden Buddha
Golden Buddha is an iconic restaurant in Ibiza, known for offering one of the best sunset experiences on the island.
Located in San Antonio, its large terrace facing the sea allows you to enjoy a spectacular sunset, turning every dinner into an unforgettable moment. With a chill-out and relaxed atmosphere, it is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails while watching the sun go down over the Mediterranean, all accompanied by a delicious selection of Mediterranean and international dishes.
The combination of gastronomy and magical views make Golden Buddha a must-see destination in Ibiza.
Las Puertas del Cielo Viewpoint
On the northwest side of Ibiza, near Santa Agnès, is a viewpoint known as Las Puertas del Cielo, a name that already gives you a clue as to how special this place is. This high point offers a spectacular view.
This is a place where you can be in total contact with nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. As it is not as well known as other spots on the island, it is easier to find a quiet spot to enjoy the sunset in solitude or with few people around. If wild landscapes and tranquillity are your thing, this viewpoint will win you over.
Cala Benirrás
Can you imagine watching the sunset to the rhythm of the drums? In Cala Benirrás, this experience is possible. Every Sunday at sunset, locals and visitors gather on the beach to enjoy a unique spectacle: the drumming party. The drummers begin to play while the sun slowly descends, creating a very authentic atmosphere.
This cove, located in the north of the island, is one of the most beautiful in Ibiza. Although it gets quite crowded on Sunday afternoons, the sunset is simply magical. If you are looking for a more lively and social experience, where music and nature come together, Benirrás is the perfect place.
Cala Comte
Cala Comte or also Cala Conta cannot be missing in a list of places to watch the sunset in Ibiza as it is one of the favourite coves of the Ibizans. This cove, located on the west coast, offers one of the most impressive views of the sunset. But if you arrive early you can also enjoy a white sandy beach with very little waves and plenty of fish on the shore. Ideal for relaxing.
In this cove, there is a dirt car park 100 metres away and several beach bars where you can have something to eat or drink. We recommend arriving well in advance because it fills up quickly in high season.
Kumharas
To close this list, we could not miss Kumharas, a place with a bohemian and relaxed atmosphere located in the bay of San Antonio. This multicultural space combines live music, international cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere. It is ideal for enjoying a sunset with friends while music plays in the background and the atmosphere gradually lights up. Undoubtedly one of the best places to watch the sunset in Ibiza, with good music, good cocktails and international food. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a sunset with a great atmosphere, we’re waiting for you!
