Cycling routes of Majorca
Playa de Palma – Llucmajor – Santuario de Cura (Randa) – Algaida
The route starts in Playa de Palma and then go following the coast until arriving to s’Arenal. This way, you’ll be able to enjoy a big coaster landscape, the sea, people and the sun. You should be careful with the sun due to the burns it could cause you. Always bring some sun cream with you before starting any kind of activity where you could be exposed to the sun.
Following the route, we’ll get to Llucmajor and continue to the Puig de Randa where there’s the Sanctuary de Cura. In Puig de Randa we’ll be able to get some rest and observe the views that this wonderful place has to offer. Finally, we’ll end up the route in Algaida, getting a total of 40,1 km of distance made.
Sa Pobla – Port d’Alcudia – Faro de Formentor
This route is one of the best routes by bike all over Majorca. It has a total lenght of 43,1 km. The route starts in Sa Pobla, a place known for its delicious potatoes, and riding through the Bahia de Alcudia until arriving to Port d’Alcúdia. After this, the route continues in the Bahía de Pollença to enjoy the coaster environment until getting to the Faro de Formentor. It’s much needed to say that, once Port de Pollença is done, the climb to get to Faro de Formentor is highly steep with many closed curves and really hard. Even though, once on top, you’ll feel like the king of the world!
Palma- Orient
Palma-Orient is another one of the cycling routes of Majorca to make with a total of 27 km length. It starts in Majorcas Capital, so it’ll make it easier for you to discover the capital from another point of view. Once you’re arriving to Orient, you can also stop in Avenc de Son Pou and Es Salt des Freu, two places in where you need stop and enjoy.
Bestides, in these roads, you’ll be able to enjoy a lovely natural landscape.
Can Picafort – Lluc – Puig Major – Sa Calobra
This long and hard route is, no doubt, one of the best cycling routes of Majorca. This route is 89,6 km long and only those trained in cycling can do it. It’s a really cool route that goes through Sa Pobla, Selva and Caimari until arriving to Lluc. Once in Lluc you’ll be able to visit the Sanctuary and the Monastery, two interesting places thanks to its cultural and religious value.
Continuing the route, you’ll go through Escorca and, once there, you must go to the Puig Major. This mountain top is 1445 meters high and it’s considered the highest top of Majorca. Once on top, you’ll love the views! Finally, you have to follow the route to Sa Calobra. Sa Calobra is a very touristic and beautiful spot. In here, the famous Torrent de Pareis ends and mixes with the sea. It’s surrounded by cliffs and the environment is just perfect.
