This post goes to those hiking lovers out there! In Majorca, due to its multiple mountains, there are plenty of routes that can be made. In here we’d like to talk about some of them that you’ll love for sure:

Vall de Bóquer

One of the hiking routes in Majorca is the Vall de Bóquer (Boquer’s Valley). The Vall de Bóquer is located in between the Serra del Cavall Bernat and the mountains of Port de Pollença. In fact, the route is the following: Port de Pollença – Casas de Bóquer – Coll del Moro – Cala Bóquer. Such route has a 2 hours duration (round way) and it’s actually easy. In the route we’ll be able to see an old lime oven, the Font de Sementer (a fountain) and even an old Talaiotic town (Talaiotic people were the ones living in Majorca and Menorca during the Bronze and Iron Age). Once arriving to Cala Bóquer (a cove) you’ll be able to enjoy that nice crystal clear water and the calm that this place gives us.
It’s also needed to be said that this cove is stone made so be careful choosing the right shoes! Also, to do the route you should also choose a really comfortable pair of shoes and clothes so we can do it correctly and with no problems. Don’t forget to use sun-cream too! Be careful on getting burned, the sun in Majorca is Hot.
Finally, telling you that this zone is protected because many kind of birds stay here so, don’t forget your binoculars!

Embassament de Cúber

This route is ideal to make in family due its easynes, kids will totally love it! This circular route lasts for about an hour. Obviously, this will depend on each one’s rhythm and how many stops are being made and how much you’d like to enjoy this unique environment. The route in Embassament de Cúber starts in km 33’8 in Soller – Pollença road.
You’ll be able to park in the Font des Noguer parking where there’s also space for tables, barbeques and bathrooms. The path on Embassament de Cúber’s route is plain. Besides, this path is well taken care of so, deciding which shoes to wear won’t take you long.

Camí des Correu

Inside the hiking routes in Majorca there’s the one of Camí des Correu. This road is dated from 1401 and it’s considered a classic path with medieval routes. Besides, this path was the only one that connected Esporles and Banyalbufar until they made the road. In 1999 it was reconstructed and was included in the dried stone paths of Majorca. This path was also included inside the GR Paths, which means that it’s a long duration route (GR= Gran Recorrido, LD= long duration). This is a really cool route cause you’ll be able to enjoy the Serra de Tramuntana environment such as the nature that it hides.

Puig de Galatzó

The Puig de Galatzó is located in the Serra de Tramuntana, concretly 1027m high. This amazing route starts in Andratx-Estellencs road in km 97. The duration of this route is about 4h. Nevertheless it’s totally worth it to do. In it, you’ll be able to appreciate the wonderful Majorcan views. A landscape that can’t be described with words cause, to know what it feels, you have to do it, specially arriving to the top. In there, we can promise you that there are impressive views and that you’ll be surrounded by a natural and wonderful space. Don’t even hesitate on doing this magic route!

Puig de Massanella

The Puig de Massanella is 1365m high and it’s considered as the second highest top of Majorca (after the Puig Major). This route starts in the point GR-222 and has a total duration of 5h. It’s convenient to wear comfortable shoes due to the different ups and downs. It’s also recommended to carry a lot of water to be hydrated all way long. As long as you’ll be hiking, you’ll find a lovely landscape and, once on top, you’ll be able to see almost all the island. A nice route to do!
