Llogarets are those small little villages in Majorca that don’t have its own town hall due to the small number of population. Caimari

In your Majorcan routes there has to be aimari, a charming village that belongs to the town of Selva. Some of the places to visit in Caimari are:

Iglesia Vella

Iglesia Vella is an old church from the XVIII century that’s now used for cultural events. If you’d like to pay it a visit, you can always call Selva’s city hall and make an appointment.

Ses Rotes

Ses Rotes are a few private properties in Caminari. From Caimari’s lookout you can see the wonderful “marjades” (a kind of Majorcan wall made of dried stone) that make Majorca a very special place.

Ethnological Park

In the Ethnological Park there are old traditional buildings in a traditional rural environment and some tools that were used to build these buildings. Each thing has its own explanation in a small poster next to it. A nice place to know how was life in the mountains in the old times!

Comuna de Caimari

This gorgeous landscape has amazing views and a lot of nature for those who love hiking. Besides, since Caimari is the first stop before arriving to Lluc, there’s a path called Old Lluc’s path. This is a mountain route with different parts of different epoques that’s perfect if you’d like to get to Lluc hiking instead of by car.

Binibona

If you’re in Caimari, or close to Caimari, don’t even hesitate in visiting Binibona, another charming llogaret of Selva. A curious fact is that, during a big time in the modern epoque, Binibona houses were under control of Marquis of Palmer who was a prominent Mallorcan General in the War of the Spanish Succession. No doubt, another great place that has to be in your Majorcan Routes.

Biniamar

Bianamar is another llogaret in your routes that you should visit. Just like Caimari adn Binibona, Biniamar belongs to Selva’s town. Here you are a few stops you should do if you visit Biniamar.

Aljubs de Biniamar

The “aljubs” are rain water deposits. THere’s one in Plaça Major and another one in Paça de Sa quintana, both from the XIX century.

Forns de Calç

The Forns de Calç (Lime Ovens) are private properties that can be seen from the road. These are factories that turned stone in lime. The ovens from Son Bassa and Can Sirena have a tapered shape, while Son Baltassar is roudned.

Comuna de Biniamar

The Comuna de Biniamar, along with Caimari’s, are the two only communes that have been kept through years from many of those who were in Selva. The Comuna de Biniamar is also a plenty of nature zone perfect to enjoy while on a picnic or a barbeque with friends.

Biniali

Biniali is another llogaret that has to be included in your Majorcan routes. It’s located in Sencelles and it’s ideal if you’re into cycling. In Biniali there’s a cycling route that goes around the Pla de Mallorca and Raiguer municipal associations.

Biniagual

Biniagual is a llogaret from Binissalem that has around 34 hectares dedicated to the viticulture. It’s a nice place to have in mind when preparing your Majorcan Routes. Besides, there’s also the Bodega de Biniagual, a winery where you’ll be able to taste the most exceptional wines, made by themselves.

Jornets

Jornets is a llogaret that belongs to the municipally of Sencelles. It’s cataloged as Property of Cultural Interest. In Jornets you’ll be able to visit the Oratiori de Sant Josep, an old private chapel of family Llabrés of Jornets which became a semi-public chapel due to the growth of this llogaret. Besides, from this llogaret comes the olive oil Jornets that has designation of origin Mallorca (D.O. Mallorca).

Llucalcari

Llucalcari is a wonderful llogaret surrounded by nature such as pines and olive trees located next to Deià. In this llogaret we can find one of the prettiest coves from all over Majorca: Es Canyaret. This cove has cristal clear waters and there you’ll be able to enjoy a charming holidays day, perfect to find some calm.
Besides, there’s a sweet water fountain that leaves the clay soil wet. In fact, there’s a lot of people who uses this clay to cover their bodies to treat the skin. No doubt, a nice place to visit.

Galilea

Galilea is a cute village that belongs to the municipally of Puigpunyent. This llogaret has wonderful landscapes where you’ll have great view and peace. Besides, until you arrive to this wonderful llogaret, you’ll have to go through narrow roads which will give you awesome views. It’s also a great place to practice hiking or cycling. Include it in the Majorcan routes that you’ve to do!

Randa

In this charming llogaret you’ll be able to do a really nice route since, from Randa, you’ll be able to have some lovely views of Majorca. In this mountain there’s the Santuari de Cura. The Santuari de Cura is a peculiar monastery cause its history goes along with the life of Ramon Llul (an important Majorcan religious persona) and some of its pieces.
