Next step is to decide how are you going to move around the different paradise scenarios and, to do so, we wanted to give you some good reasons on why renting a car in Majorca seems like the best choice.
- Fast pick-up. If you’re into renting a car in Majorca, you’ll be able to pick the car up straight from the airport. Forget about picking the bus, train or a cab to go to your rent a car pick up office, just leave the plane or boat and get in the car!
- Mobility. One of the main advantages that has renting a car in Majorca is that you’ll be able to move freely all over the island. There’s no road impossible and also you’ll be able to create your own route. When choosing the car you’ll have to choose the one that adapts better to you, which leads us to point n.3.
- Changes. When traveling we’re seeking to escape our routine changing the stuff that surround us and that we’re used to. The same happens is choose renting a car in Majorca. If you’re a family you’ll probably choose a minivan that you probably wouldn’t be driving at home (bigger, more luxurious, with more features…). On the other hand, if you’re a couple, choosing a convertible is an amazing idea to visit the island while the Mediterranean breeze touches you.
- Visit hidden places. Probably, if you choose the public transport you won’t be able to access to so many places as you could if you were renting a car in Majorca. There are many places that you can’t even get by car, but at least if you have your own car you’ll be able to go walking through a small excursion and won’t have to be waiting for the public transport.

Recommendations when renting a car in Majorca:
- Checking the car when picking it up. Before leaving with the car, you should check on everything and make sure that everything is okay so you won’t have any surprise when returning it.
- Hydration. If we’re traveling to Majorca, especially in summer, we must have in mind that the island is really wet. It’s highly recommended to always carry many water with us. If it’s possible, a frozen bottle and a cold one to make sure we always have cold water with us.
- Suncream. If the trip is long, we should choose to carry with us cream with a high SPF so we don’t burn during our trip. Try to avoid driving during the warmest hours (from 12pm to 17pm) and remember to always be protected against the sun. We understand you come to enjoy the mediterranean warm but remember to always do it with protection.
- Parasols. Before arriving to the island check if the car you rented has parasols or if you have to carry them from home or buy them. This is a very delicate issue since, if you leave the car at the sun, it can get to temperatures up to 40 degrees if it’s really hot. Having with us parasols will help us reduce the sun impact to enjoy a softer temperature when coming back to the car.
- Map or GPS. It’s true that the island itself is not very big, but it’s true that there are many secondary roads in where you could get lost. It’s important to carry a map or a GPS device so that we can guarantee all the time that we know where we’re at. Check with the renting agency whether your car has this kind of devices or not.
- Entertainment for the kinds. The longest roads can have an hour length so it’s important to carry some entertaining stuff for the little ones. Always make sure that everyone enjoy the trip as much as we do!
